Which are the differences between Grand Theft Auto IV and Episodes from Liberty City? Which is better?

I tried installing Grand Theft Auto IV on my Windows 7 PC but it didn't run. Instead I'm thinking about getting Episodes from Liberty City. Do you think I'll have fun that way? Will I need the IV disc to run Episodes from Liberty City? Are there any differences in the layout of Liberty City between the two? I know that episodes is a combination of two games. What about the graphics, which game has better graphics? What other differences are there between the two? Which is a bigger game overall?Which are the differences between Grand Theft Auto IV and Episodes from Liberty City? Which is better?
since GTA4 didn't run on your PC. and IF its due to slow hardware/no graphics card. then u cant play episodes from liberty city too [it has slightly better graphics and its more resource hog than GTA4]

u will enjoy GTA EFLC as much as u will do in GTA4. but GTA4 has bigger storyline. as well as some imp charecters. there is NO difference in layout of the city. only few features are added like jumping with parachute, underground wrestling etc.

as i answered above. EFLC has slightly better graphics [better shadows].

overall, GTA4 is bigger game.

@Jerichoh... : its DLC in xbox 360 [IE: ballad of gay tony and lost and damned]. but not in PS3 and PC. both the lost and damned + ballad of gay tony are in single game. called 'episodes from liberty city'Which are the differences between Grand Theft Auto IV and Episodes from Liberty City? Which is better?
They are not 2 different games.

There were 2 major DLC packs for GTA IV, The Lost and the Damned, and Ballad of Gay Tony.

Episodes from Liberty city just contains those addons on one disc for a lower price, or if someone wants to buy them retail.

To answer your question, GTA IV is a phenomenal game that you shouldn't miss. However, GTA IV is required to play Episodes from Liberty City.
