I think that a major reason why Rockstar Games did not include airplanes in GTA 4 is because of 9/11. There would've only been a matter of hours after the release of the game that some video would've ended up on YouTube with some jerk flying planes into skyscrapers in downtown Liberty City/New York.
The ability to drive trains that existed in GTA: San Andreas was only a minor feature and I don't think that most players were even aware of it.
You guys are all wrong. It says at rockstargames.com that they kept those things out because it was "not needed" for the game. They said that the game was supposed to be all about the storyline, not the freeroaming. 9/11? Are you kidding me? san andreas was made after 9/11 even happened, lol!

Well...it is their game so they can do whatever they want. Personally i've only played GTA once and that was on my friends PSP and i don't even know which one it was. But if you want to fly planes go play Microsoft flight sims. If you want to drive a train go play Train sims.
GTA San Andreas is on the xbox live market. U should of bought MS points and then bought the game. San Andreas does get borring after unlocking all locations
