I received a grand theft auto 4 baseball bat in the mail that I never ordered. Did rockstar give them away?

Its a real baseball bat with the grand theft auto 4 logo and and a rockstar logo at the bottom. I never order it though, where they running some promotion or something. I honestly don't know how they got my name and home address. I may have registered the game though and forgot.I received a grand theft auto 4 baseball bat in the mail that I never ordered. Did rockstar give them away?
I got one too. I searched around a bit and found this old contest from Xbox Live: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/g/grandt… Both of us probably entered it last year in an attempt to win an Xbox 360 Elite. I guess I didn't bother to look at what the other prizes were.
I just got one also after having moved and the USPS had forwarded it yesterday to my new address. An advanced email notification or letter would have been helpful. I am not able to find the paper/insert that most got in the triangular box w/ the bat which congratulates you on winning from MS %26amp; R*

Congratulations, you got second prize in the "Grand Theft Auto IV sweepstakes presented by Xbox Live.” Now I'm not sure if it was one of those "Sign Up" sweepstakes or the "Download gamer pictures" sweepstakes,but you registered and won. I don't even remember myself registering for some GTA sweepstakes. I also got one in the mail just today too. Those bats are EXTREMELY RARE, only 2,000 were ever made and you have one of them!

haha just got one also. Family was all wondering what the heck it was as I was not home yet. Its from a contest and they got your information from your xbox live account. Microsoft is part of this.
It was a prize from a contest on xbox live but it was quite some time ago. I got one also. So I felt your suprise. Then I just googled ;) .
I just got one as well, Until I found this I had no clue who sent it.
They only made 2000 of them it was a contest i will take it lol
